I'm Adrian Briciu MCIOB, AssocRICS, a Chartered Construction Manager based in Barnsley. I set up Stoneharrow Surveying & Consultancy to provide independent, evidence-based advice on the condition of buildings.

I've spent over 25 years on the delivery side of construction: residential building and renovation work, managing timber-frame housebuilding projects in Germany, and now leading complex moisture, mould and damage remediation projects for one of the UK's major restoration contractors.
That experience gives me an understanding of how buildings are built in practice, where defects typically arise, and what is involved in putting them right, including how protection against damp and moisture is built into a property at each stage, and what happens when it isn't. Stoneharrow Surveying & Consultancy applies that experience on the client's side.

Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, bound by its Rules and Regulations of Professional Competence and Conduct.
AssocRICS · Building Surveying pathway
Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, working to the RICS Rules of Conduct and professional standards, including the RICS Home Survey Standard. Not a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
BSc (Hons) Construction Management (pending formal award)
Bath Spa University.
Level 7 Diploma in Construction Management
Level 7 qualification in construction management.
NVQ Level 6
National Vocational Qualification at Level 6.
Over 25 years in construction
Residential building and renovation, housebuilding project management in Germany, and complex moisture, mould and damage remediation in the UK.
How I work
I carry out every inspection and write every report myself. I don't sell treatments, carry out remedial work or accept referral fees from contractors. If an inspection isn't needed, I'll say so.
